Natalius Pigai, Komnas HAM Commissioner for the 2012-2017 period, has confirmed that presidential candidate number 2, Prabowo Subianto, is not involved in allegations of human rights violations (HAM).
“The results of the Komnas HAM investigation to date, and I have read it, Prabowo’s name is not included in the conclusion of the case as someone who committed human rights violations,” said Natalius Pigai at a press conference at the Prabowo-Gibran media center, Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta, Monday (11/12/2023).
Natalius stated that he has read the official report on the results of the investigation conducted by Komnas HAM regarding the HAM violation case associated with Prabowo Subianto.
“I have read the official results of the Komnas HAM investigation and I have already issued this statement a week ago, seven days ago, and there have been no protests,” he said.
In addition to Prabowo, Pigai said the names of Ganjar Pranowo and Anies Baswedan are also not on the list of alleged HAM violators. Therefore, he mentioned that all presidential candidates in the 2024 presidential election contest are free from the issue of alleged human rights violations.
“This means that Prabowo’s name is not included. This means that both Prabowo, Ganjar, and Anies are all clear and clean,” said Pigai. (SENOPATI)
