President of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, emphasized the importance of the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) as the country’s “people’s child” during the Operational Troop Review and Military Honors Ceremony at Suparlan Field in Batujajar, West Java. He highlighted the TNI’s role in serving and defending the nation, stating that they are prepared to make the ultimate sacrifice for the people.
Prabowo also urged the newly appointed commanders to lead with integrity and treat their soldiers like their own children. Emphasizing the TNI’s responsibility as the front line of defense for Indonesia, he stressed the importance of total people’s defense and defensive strategies.
At the ceremony, Prabowo awarded the Honorary Four-Star General rank to General Tandyo Budi Revita and recognized several individuals for their dedication and integrity. The event also saw the inauguration and commissioning of new TNI units, showcasing the strength of the armed forces with over 27,000 personnel and various tactical vehicles and defense equipment units.
