Jakarta – President terpilih Prabowo Subianto expressed his sadness when the Indonesian people always insult each other. Moreover, the insults are directed towards leaders without considering the performance they have done.
“So I am sad if we have a tradition of always vilifying leaders, cursing,” said Prabowo when attending the closing of the IIIII Congress of the National Democratic Party (NasDem) at the JCC, Senayan, Jakarta, Tuesday (27/08).
“Whatever achievements Pak Jokowi has are admired by many countries, (Indonesia) can maintain inflation at 2.5%,” he said.
“Where else (country can)? In the history of the past three years, only a few countries can. And this is an achievement that did not fall from the sky,” he continued.
Prabowo also mentioned that thanks to Jokowi’s leadership, Indonesia quickly recovered from the Covid-19 pandemic. According to him, this is an achievement and does not come down just like that from the sky.
“I am not defending, but I will say what is right is right, what is wrong is wrong,” he explained.
In front of NasDem cadres, Prabowo also thanked the party for supporting his government. He hoped that unity could continue to be maintained to build the country.
“So, once again thank you NasDem for joining me. We unite, we work together, we prove that we want and can join for the Indonesian people,” said Prabowo. (RR)
